Honkai Star Rail 3.4 Banner Leaks: Phainon, Fate Collab

Greeting, Trailblazers! As you eagerly await Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.3, featuring the dynamic duo Hyacine and Cipher, exciting details about Version 3.4 are already emerging. HSR 3.4 Release Date

Based on the typical update schedule for HSR, which follows a six-week cycle per version, we can make an educated estimate that Honkai Star Rail 3.4 is likely to release on Wednesday, July 2nd.

For the most accurate information, keep an eye on HoYoverse’s official channels closer to mid-June 2025, when the Version 3.4 Special Program livestream is likely to occur, typically two weeks before the update.

 

HSR 3.4 Banner New Characters

Based on HxG, the HSR 3.4 banner schedule is as follows.

Phase 1 -- Phainon

Duration: 02/07/2025 -- 13/08/2025

It is said that Phainon is a 5-star physical Destruction DPS that specializes in Hypercarry setups. He has a unique ultimate charging mechanic similar to Acheron and Castorice, and he charages based on single target buffs that are apllied to him. This means you'll most likely be playing him with two hypercarry supports, such as Sunday and possibly Cerydra, a newly revealed Harmony unit.

Accroding to HxG, Phainon doesn't have any design elements which can be summoning objects, possibly doesn't have summons. But he can transform into a second form in his ultimate, and it may look something like the old leak. Besides, he will also have some form of extra action like Seele's Resurgence or Tribbie's Follow-up attacks.

Meanwhile, one of the 3.3 relic sets is centered on him, with a 2pc effect raising CRIT DMG and a 4pc effect providing an additional stacking DMG buff while receiving boosts from allies.

As for the other character, Cerydra, is stated to be a unit that follows the Harmony path and is rumored to be a support that directly synergize with Phainon, which presumably means she'll be a single target hyper carry support designed to help Fainon charge his ultimate.

 

Phase 2 -- Fate Collab

Duration: 13/08/2025 -- 24/09/2025

Last year, HoYoverse officially unveiled Honkai: Star Rail's first crossover content, indicating a collaboration with the Fate/Stay Night multimedia property. And leaks have hinted at some very interesting features to the crossover, including the possibility that Archer and Saber would become playable characters during the event.

If you watch HSR 3.2 Special Program, developers basically confirmed to us that we'll be getting a new limited five-star character during this year. According to some information from various sources, this character is expected to release during version 3.4 and is none other than Archer, one of the two collaboration characters for the HSR and Fateay Night collaboration event being held in the same patch.

Undoubtely, this collaboration event is amazing—players receive one of the exclusive collaboration characters for free! This means you won’t be forced to pull on the limited banner just to try out the new units.

For F2P players, this is a huge win. Since collaboration units rarely get reruns (due to licensing issues in most gacha games), missing them could mean losing them forever. Many F2P players don’t have enough Jades to pull for two limited units, so getting one for free ensures they won’t miss out.

Alongside the leaks about Archer and Saber, they are rumored to be Wind & Destruction (Saber) and Quantum & Hunt (Archer) units. Again, though, keep in mind that this information is based on leaks and could change when they are officially released, so proceed with caution.

 

HSR 3.4 Events

While particular 3.4 campaigns have yet to be released in full, the Fate co-op event is expected to launch in the second half of the game and may include time-limited missions and unique rewards.

And before that, a significant free character selection event -- Stellar Convergence Shop will begin in Version 3.2 and last until the end of Version 3.4, allowing players to select either Ruan Mei or Luocha as a free 5-star limited character. Finally, we now know which characters will gain buffs in Version 3.4: Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu. HoYoverse mentioned this news in 3.0 Amphoreus: Special Edition Developer Radio on February 9, 2025, and again in the 3.2 Special Program just recently. But there is no official announcement yet on what the buffs are and more details will be announced in future updates.
